Yoga for Tara was originally sought as an alternative form of exercise to a lifetime of running. She quickly learned that it complimented her other activities while bringing much more to her life. She felt calmer, healthier and more grounded during the typical hustle of everyday life. After several years of her own personal yoga practice, being taught from inspiring yoga teachers, she decided to complete her RYT 200 hour teacher training. Shortly thereafter, with much support and encouragement from her family, she was inspired to create her own studio in a community she and her family call home. The hope is for everyone who walks through the Shine studio doors, to feel welcomed into this unique space, and to leave feeling a little brighter, happier, and healthier than when they entered.
Emily has been teaching yoga since 2014. Emily is known for her relaxing voice, creative flows, and welcoming energy. Bill found yoga after participating in a VA study in 2017. After practicing at Shine, he attended Yoga Teacher Training, and began teaching in June of 2020. To Bill, yoga helps quiet the mind by quieting the body first. He enjoys teaching everything from paddle board yoga to relaxing flows. His favorite classes involve pushing our bodies to the edge without going over.
